Reborn

Blind to what lies ahead in life,
but knowing that it has been ordained.
Anxiously waiting this journey out -
knowing that in the end there's a great reward. For I
struggle to fight my way through, pressing forward.
Determined to reach the great breakthrough
that he has waiting for me; a miracle of life.
Tossing, turning, stretching, and growing
anticipation fills my soul; faith keeps me knowing
that something beautiful is about to happen.
Half the wait is over, my eyes are open and the sunlight shines.
Sweet nectar fills my nostrils as the world becomes within my reach.
Half the journey is over, oh what a sweet release!
Burdens lift, my load gets lighter, as I press on - not giving up-
shedding the woven cocoon that has kept me bound.
I spread my colorful wings to find a wonderful reach;
how beautiful it is to see all that was created for me.
As I spread my color-weaved wings and soar
allowing the wind to carry me while I explore
the new horizons that have been destined for me.
Experiencing life for the first time - like a beautiful butterfly -
