FIGHTING FOR THE HOMELAND
Fear is a
double edged sword that cuts in many
ways.
Fear
completely stops us from what we need
to do and who we need to be.
It paralyses us, makes us helpless and
ineffective.
Fear makes us run towards destruction or hide
behind it.
Fear makes us wish for a
bright new day
and hope some of those
feared, man-u-factured gods are hearing our prayers.
Fear destroys.
On the
other hand, fear makes us
afraid of the reactions of our inactions.
Fear
makes us look death in the face to save others.
Fear
motivates us to stand up for truth and righteousness
because in all honesty, it is all we have
and it is all that we take with us.
But the fear of losing is so great.
It
makes us greedy, selfish and
intolerable.
Fear
makes us kill for money and power.
But Fear lets us die alone.
Fear
makes us hold too tightly.
Fear
makes us let go too easily.
Fear
makes us deaf, dumb and blind.
Fear
makes us ignorant.
However,
most times it just makes us stupid.
Fear
of the unknown sometimes overcomes us.
Fear and love of the Homeland fascinates us
and
draws us back to Afrika,
back
to the land and to the Gods of our Ancestors.
600+
years of slavery and downpression, by now,
should
have freed us of all fear.
